5 Really Good Reasons For Hating the Summer.

Enjoying the summer? I’m not!

It suddenly occurred to me earlier (in-between bouts of profuse sweating) just how much I despise this time of year. Why? Well I’ll tell you why. Here are my top 5 reasons for wanting the summer banned altogether -

1. Heat.

Okay, so the summer is bound to be warm, but don’t you just hate it when the temperature goes right through the roof?

Some days are just too damned hot to move and these are the ones that really get me down! It’s just annoying when you were planning to go out and look for sofas for sale, but then you wake up so sweaty and gross you just cant be bothered.

2. Naff Music.

If the sun is out, then you will always get someone playing crap music at a ridiculously high volume.

The hot weather has a strange effect on connoisseurs of repetitive Drum and Base, offensive Rap or rubbish mainstream Pop. They suddenly feel it necessary to chillax by ‘sharing’ their choons with everyone else. But how can you possibly be ‘chilled-out’ by playing bilge-songs that are so loud they will make your ears bleed???

3. Bugs.

The warm weather is always accompanied by a multitude of irritating bugs. Flies, crawlies, spiders and God alone knows what else! And, as an added bonus, many of these will bite or sting you! No matter how hot you get, you cannot leave a window open at night because they will all come inside and ravish your flesh.

4. Barbeques.

Why do so many people get the urge to do their cooking outdoors? There is nothing wrong with flipping your burgers in the sun, but most barbeque fanatics will not stop to wonder whether their plumes of smoke are bothering anyone else…

What about if your neighbours have their washing on the line? Personally, I hate my clothes to smell of charred beef (I’m funny like that).

5. Hot and Bothered.

More murders are committed at 92 degrees than at any other temperature; and it’s not difficult to see why!

Loads of people get will get irritable, tetchy and downright nasty during the summer months. It makes you wonder why so many of us rave about having plenty of hot weather!
